Green Tea
One of the best parts of coming to Taiwan is all the cool green tea flavored things there are. Here we are at Tsujiri in the food court. Soft serve and iced latte.

One of our friend's daughter who comes to Taipei a lot, said that her favorite thing about Taipei is 7-Eleven. I understand why she'd say that - the 7-Elevens in Taipei are AWESOME. They have the best snacks, drinks, and you could have a full-on hot meal there (the tea eggs are yummy). Some seven-elevens even sell clothes and books, Zoe actually got a really good drawing book. These seven-elevens are pretty different from the ones in the USA. Every one here calls these stores 'sayvin' instead of seven- eleven. Here we are going a little nuts at the local 7-Eleven before the typhoon hits.
Decided to brave the rain and head out before we had to stay in for a day.
Checking out our new place before the typhoon hits. Here is where we will call home for the next year!
Moving is hard. Change is hard. But we decided to move recently to change it up a bit. When Chloe's teacher asked her, "Why are you moving to Taipei? You go there twice a year as it is!" Chloe's answer was, "Because my mom wants me to learn Chinese. And experience some discomfort." Both of those are true - Joe and I want the kids to learn Chinese, and to get out of their comfort zone. We were starting to feel like life was a little too easy, too comfortable. We wanted the girls to see that the world is a big place. That people speak differently, think differently, and live differently. So we decided to embark on a new adventure. We'll try our best to post something daily, and we will all take turns writing a bit.
